The Cecil County Board of REALTORS® was established in 1959. Today, we boast a membership of over 400 members.
The purpose of the Cecil County Board of REALTORS® is to enhance the ability and opportunity of its members to conduct their business successfully and ethically; and to promote the preservation of the right to own, transfer and use real estate property.
The Cecil County Board of REALTORS® represents its members in all real estate specialties by supporting a legislative and legal environment favorable to its members.
The Board provides opportunities for professional growth and education and communicates information to its members that will help them succeed in their business activities.
REALTORS® established their Code of Ethics in 1913 and it has survived as a viable and relevant guide because it is a living document. As times have changed, new needs and insights have been recognized and as the law has developed, the Code has been amended 21 times since its adoption. With all the amendments, the philosophical premise of the Code has remained unchanged to promote the highest level of integrity and fair business practices.
